Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) Rite of Christian Initiation of Children (RCIC)
The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults and Children (RCIA/RCIC) is a process through which men, women and children are initiated into the Catholic Church. This is a process involving discernment and stages of conversion, which lead to sacramental initiation. It is the parish community, through its witness, worship, service and catechesis that offers the invitation and support necessary for this initiation. The process is open to all persons seeking to join the Catholic Church or wanting to learn more about the Catholic faith. There are also numerous roles to be filled by Catholics who wish to share their love of Christ and His Church through service to others.

Scripture Study
Sacred Scripture is to our soul what nourishment is to our physical body. It shapes our prayers, informs our conscience, and deepens our knowledge of God. Familiarity with scripture places the issues of our life in a broader context. Getting to know the people of faith in Scripture, and seeing the ways God has worked throughout history, shapes our faith, and offers insight into the unique ways God is at work in our lives. Scripture study groups at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton seek to interpret the scriptures with the mind of the Church, provide rich discussion and faith sharing, and learn ways to apply scripture to daily life.

It takes a look at the leadership role that has been entrusted to men and addresses the temptations and struggles men face in a culture that attacks the command of God in our lives. Finally, it helps formulate a plan that allows men to provide authentic male leadership to their families and communities.
